Preventive health tests will be conducted for youth to protect them from lifestyle diseases, CM Mohan announced a new scheme.

Health Scheme for Youngsters: The ‘Health of Indore’ program is the world’s largest preventive health care survey conducted in any city. Seeing its success, now preventive health care tests will be conducted for the youth of entire Madhya Pradesh. Healthy Madhya Pradesh Initiative was launched by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Sunday, June 16. Under this campaign, preventive health tests will be conducted to protect the youth across the state from lifestyle diseases. If necessary, doctor consultation and guidance will be given to improve lifestyle.

Spiritual progress is possible only through the body – CM Yadav
Praising the ‘Health of Indore’ campaign, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said, ‘Spiritual progress is possible only with a healthy body.’ Urban Administration Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, who was present in the program, praised this campaign and stressed on staying healthy. In the program, MP Shankar Lalwani said that to keep the youth of Madhya Pradesh healthy, preventive health care tests will be conducted across the state and this campaign is starting from Indore. Earlier, under the Health of Indore campaign, tests of 2.5 lakh people of the city were conducted, out of which about half the population may become victims of serious diseases. In this context, a program was held in January 2024 in the presence of the then Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and the Minister had talked about taking Indore’s preventive health care model across the country. Dr. Vineeta Kothari said that considering the results of the survey conducted in Indore, there is a need to take immediate action especially on the health parameters of the youth. Therefore, now Healthy Madhya Pradesh Initiative has been launched. He told, ‘Out of 30 thousand of these 2.5 lakh people, every fourth youth was found at pre-diabetes stage.
