IND vs PAK: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has changed the schedule of the Women’s Asia Cup. The tournament will start on July 19 and run till July 28. The Indian team was earlier scheduled to play its match against UAE on July 19, but due to the change in schedule, India’s first match will now be against Pakistan, which is to be played on July 19 itself. A total of 8 teams will be participating in this tournament, which have been divided into 2 groups of four teams each. Talking about Group A, Nepal and UAE have been placed along with India.

India and Pakistan have faced each other 12 times in the Women’s Asia Cup till date, out of which Team India has been victorious on 11 occasions. The only victory of the Pak team came in the 2022 Asia Cup, where India had to face defeat by 13 runs in the group stage. Now, under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian team will once again want to crush Pakistan and register its 12th win against them in the Asia Cup. Both the arch rivals have also come face to face in the finals of the 2012 and 2016 Asia Cups and on both occasions, India won the trophy.
