Suicide attack near military establishment in Pakistan, several soldiers including 8 civilians injured

Peshawar: A suicide bomber blew up a vehicle loaded with explosives near the outer wall of a military establishment in the northwestern region of Pakistan early Monday. Also, one of his companions blew up his jacket, injuring eight civilians and damaging nearby houses. A local police officer gave this information. Police officer Tahir Khan said that the attackers carried out this attack in an attempt to enter the army office and security forces’ residence in Bannu city, however, the security forces took immediate action in this ‘attack’ and foiled the attackers’ attempt.

Tahir Khan said that the security forces have started a search operation to locate the terrorists and the area is being monitored through helicopters. Local officials said that several soldiers were also injured in this attack. The government or the army has not commented immediately on this attack.
