Beijing: A bridge on a highway in China’s Shanxi province partially collapsed due to flash floods, killing at least 11 people and leaving more than 30 missing. The provincial propaganda department has been quoted in the news of the state news agency ‘Xinhua’ that the bridge located in Zhashui County of Shenglu City collapsed due to heavy rain and flash floods on Friday evening.

Due to the collapse of the bridge, some vehicles fell into the Jinqiao River below the bridge. According to the news, rescue teams have recovered five vehicles that fell into the river and rescue operations are underway.
