The Indian hockey team made it to the Paris Olympics hockey semi-finals by defeating Great Britain 4-2 in the shootout. Both scores were tied at 1-1 till full time, but PR Sreejesh did wonders in the shootout. Sreejesh, playing his last tournament, rocked the quarter-final match. Both India and Great Britain teams have performed brilliantly in the first quarter. They will face Germany or Argentina in the semi-finals. In the shootout, captain Harmanpreet Singh, Sukhjeet Singh, Lalit Upadhyay and Rajkumar Pal scored goals for India while Great Britain’s Conor Williamson missed the target and Philip Roper’s shot was saved by Sreejesh. After the match remained tied at 1-1 till the stipulated time, a penalty shootout took place.
