Google may soon provide Gemini AI facility for free to crores of Android smartphone users. Google can roll out its artificial intelligence tool for the Gmail app. Gmail users will be able to use this generative AI tool of Google from writing e-mails to replying to mails etc., due to which many of their tasks can be made easier. Google had announced to expand the use of its AI tool at Google I/O 2024 held this year.
Will be able to use for free
Google will allow all its Gmail users to access the Gemini AI Sidephone feature for free. According to the report, users who do not have a premium subscription to Google’s Workspace will also be able to use Gemini AI in Gmail accounts on their Android smartphones.
For this, they will get a dedicated button of Gemini AI in Gmail. After the addition of this feature, users using Gmail in their smartphone will get many options to reply to their emails. This generative AI tool of Google will scan the email and provide many options to the users to reply.
Gemini AI will make many tasks easier
Google has shared information through its blog post that its generative AI tool Gemini AI is capable of doing many tasks. With its addition to Gmail, it will become easier to summarize the email thread. Apart from this, many options will also be available for chat in the app. Users will be able to ask many questions to Gemini AI. The summarized feature will present a summary of long emails to the users, due to which it will be easier to reply to the mail.
However, this generative AI tool of Google will not be able to be used for free in the web browser. Its facility will be available only in the Gmail app of Android smartphone. If users want the facility of Gemini AI in every device, then they will have to take a premium subscription of Google Workspace. Only after this they will be able to use this tool in all devices.
