How should fruits not be consumed?

According to Ayurvedic doctor Diksha Bhavsar, fresh fruits are lighter and easier to digest than other foods. When you consume them with or after heavy foods, it remains in the stomach until the heavy foods are digested. Due to which it gets overcooked by our digestive juices and starts fermenting. In such a situation, overcooked, fermented dirt is known as Ama or improperly digested food toxins in Ayurveda. This moist, acidic waste accumulates in our digestive system and affects the digestive system, which can cause problems like indigestion, food sensitivity and intestinal inflammation.

What is the right way to eat fruits?

Diksha Bhavsar says that fruits should always be consumed alone. They should never be eaten with food or immediately after it. You can eat fruits 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating. Do not eat fruits with or after food even by mistake. Do not consume them with milk or curd. If you want, you can eat fruits with plant-based milk or curd. Drink fruit juice only when your digestion is poor or you cannot chew things properly. Do not eat fruits late at night or in the evening.

Try Ayurvedic remedies while mixing fruits and milk. If you like to eat fruits mixed in milk, then mix only sweet and ripe fruits in milk. You can mix avocado with milk. It can be taken with dry fruits like raisins, dates and figs. Avoid mixing all berries in milk including strawberries. When we mix berries in milk, the milk does not curdle immediately, but it curdles after the digestion process as soon as it enters the stomach. Many people like to eat banana by adding it to milk. Bananas may be sweet, but when you consume it with milk, the effect of digestion will be sour, so both should not be taken together. Taking milk and fruit separately is a healthy option.
