Child actors of TV and Bollywood are famous in every household. People like these children a lot and become admirers of their cuteness. One such girl was Rasna Girl Taruni Sachdev. Taruni was born on 14 May 1998. She entered the film world in 2004 with the Malayalam film ‘Vellinakshtram’. In the year 2004, Taruni also worked with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the film ‘Satyam’. In the year 2009, Taruni got the most successful film of her short career. She appeared in the Hindi film ‘Paa’ with Amitabh Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Abhishek Bachchan. Even before this, Taruni had shared screen space with Amitabh in an advertisement. It was after seeing this advertisement that she got work in many films. She also appeared in Malayalam films at the age of five. It is said that she could memorize and repeat Malayalam dialogues after listening to them a few times.
This was her role in ‘Pa’
In 2009, Taruni got the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s classmate Somi in R. Balki’s film ‘Pa’. A deep friendship was shown between the two. People liked this role a lot and after this she entered people’s hearts. Apart from her acting career, Taruni worked in more than fifty advertisements, which include famous brands like Colgate and ICICI Bank. She appeared in an ad with Karisma Kapoor and from here she became popular as Rasna Girl.
Taruni died in a plane crash
Her last film Vettri Selvan was a Tamil drama-thriller which was released in 2014. Although Taruni had already shot most of the scenes of this film before her death, some scenes may have been left out but even after this her footage was not removed from the film. Taruni Sachdev died tragically on her 14th birthday on May 14, 2012 in an Agni Air Dornier 228 plane crash near Jomsom Airport in Nepal. Her mother Geeta Sachdev was also on board the plane and died in the crash. Taruni and her mother were brought to Mumbai where they were cremated on May 16, 2012
