Joe Biden handed over the command of the Democratic Party to Kamala Harris, called Trump a failed president

Chicago: US President Joe Biden officially handed over the command of the Democratic Party to Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday night. He described Kamala as the most suitable person to protect democracy and said that she would prove to be a ‘historic president’. When Biden (81) arrived at the Democratic National Convention held in Chicago, a crowd of thousands of leaders and activists present there welcomed him with thunderous applause. During this conference, Kamala (59) will officially accept the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination on Thursday. She will face Republican candidate Donald Trump (78) in the presidential election proposed on November 5.

Biden asked the enthusiastic leaders and workers, “Are you ready to elect Kamala Harris as the President of America.” He also appealed to the countrymen to vote in favor of Kamala. Biden said, “I love my work. I love my country even more. We need to save our democracy. We need you to defeat Donald Trump and elect Kamala Harris, Tim Walz as the President and Vice President of America respectively.”

‘Kamala will serve as the 47th President’

Biden said that Trump will realize the power of women in 2024. He said that Kamala will soon serve as the 47th President of America. Biden said, “The future of America is in the hands of the countrymen. We protected democracy in 2020 and we have to do it again in 2024.” He said, “America, America, I served you to the best of my level. I made many mistakes in my career, but I served you to the best of my level.”

‘Biden’s tears flowed’

Biden said, “I ask you: Are you ready to vote for freedom. Are you ready to vote for America, for democracy. And I ask you: are you ready to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz (respectively) as President and Vice President.” Biden’s daughter Ashley welcomed him at the four-day Democratic National Convention. During this, Biden was seen hugging Ashley and wiping his tears.

‘Trump was a failed president’
Biden said the decisions being taken now will determine the future of the country and the world. He claimed that America made extraordinary progress during his and Kamala’s four-year tenure. He alleged that Donald Trump promised infrastructure development every week during his four-year tenure as President, but he never got anything big done. Listing the major achievements of the Biden-Harris administration, the President said, “Together we are building a better America.” Biden targeted Trump and said that he was a failed president. Accusing the former President of rejecting the strongest border security bill in American history, he said, “America is winning. America is prosperous. America is safer today than during Donald Trump’s (President) tenure.”
