Indian Railways has started special preparations for Kumbh Mela 2025 to be held in Prayagraj next year. Railways has said that it will run 900 special trains for Prayagraj during Kumbh Mela. Let us tell you, keeping in mind the preparation, 21 railway road over bridges and under bridges are being built in Prayagraj keeping in mind the extra crowd in the fair. According to the news of The Hindu, senior railway officials said that the Railways expects about 30 crore devotees to come to the fair, keeping this in mind, it is working on a plan to run more than 900 special fair trains for devotees across the country.
Traffic plan ready
According to the news, the Railways has started its preparations for the safe movement of devotees during the Kumbh Mela and a traffic plan has been prepared with the cooperation of various departments of the Uttar Pradesh government and the Center. Railway officials have inspected the progress of works and action plan in various zones of the Railways. Officials said that the railway is working on the number of staff required for crowd management during the fair and how they will work in case of any emergency.
Devotees will get better facilities
According to railway officials, in view of tight security arrangements at the stations, a large number of screens will be installed in the control tower, so that monitoring can be done to prevent any untoward incident. The Railway Board has instructed the officials to install high quality equipment to make announcements in the crowd. To provide better facilities to the devotees, the railway will set up additional shelters, toilets, toilet centers, booking counters, food stalls, water booths, electric lighting, CCTV cameras, control rooms for monitoring, medical booths and security posts.
Infrastructure is being strengthened
Giving information about the infrastructure, the railway has informed that the reconstruction work of the Civil Lines side is going on at a fast pace and it will be completed before the fair. Along with this, the construction work of the city side is also likely to be completed. The railway is fully committed to make the Kumbh event a success. Railway officials said that the infrastructure of Prayagraj and nearby stations is being strengthened. He said that new underpasses and over bridges are also being constructed to save passengers from any inconvenience during the fair.
