Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday condemned the alleged propaganda being carried out by jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party against the army and its leadership. Shahbaz Sharif said that such things “will not be tolerated at all.” Two days earlier, army spokesman Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif had said that a big political mafia has risen to sabotage the new anti-terrorism operation ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ and the first step of that mafia is to make the campaign controversial through false and fake arguments.

PM Sharif expressed concern over this

Expressing serious concern over the recent increase in terrorist activities in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Prime Minister Sharif said that this is being done under an organized conspiracy. Meanwhile, sources associated with the meeting said that the cabinet has deferred the decision to ban the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party and to file a treason case against former President Arif Alvi, former Prime Minister Imran Khan and former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Qasim Suri.
