Kim’s threat comes at a time when external experts believe that Kim will test weapons as a provocation ahead of the US presidential election in November. Recently, North Korea has also resumed releasing balloons carrying garbage towards South Korea. In a speech on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of his government on Monday, Kim said that North Korea is facing a “serious threat”. He described the US-led regional military bloc as turning into a nuclear-based group.
