Massive fire in Philippines’ Chinatown, at least 11 people died

Manila: A massive fire has spread panic in a crowded area of ​​​​the Philippines capital Manila. This fire broke out in a small building in the Chinatown district on Friday. It is being told that at least 11 people died after being caught in the fire. Many people are also reported to be injured. However, the exact number of injured is not yet known. The police said that an investigation is underway to find out the cause of the fire. About 14 fire trucks struggled for more than two hours to control the fire. The fire broke out in an old five-storey building in one of the oldest Chinatowns in the world. It is a densely populated part located on the river bank in the capital. Therefore, the firefighters had to face a lot of difficulties even while carrying out relief and rescue operations.

The fire broke out in a restaurant in a 5-storey old building in Chinatown. The fire took a fierce form and its flames reached the upper floors. Fire investigator Roderick Andres said that the fire broke out in a restaurant on the ground floor and many employees were also among the dead. He said that most of the dead were found on the second and third floors. No one else is reported missing.
