Pakistan gave ‘Nishan-e-Imtiaz’ to Chinese Army General, only one Indian has received this honor

Islamabad: General Li Qiaoming, Commander of the ‘Ground Forces’ of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA), was awarded ‘Nishan-e-Imtiaz’, one of Pakistan’s top honors, on Tuesday. This honor was given to him for his ‘unwavering commitment’ in promoting close cooperation between the armies of the two friendly countries. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir attended the special decoration ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and it was also attended by army chiefs and MPs. Let us tell you that late actor Dilip Kumar is the only Indian to receive this honor.

Pakistan called General Li its friend
Pakistani government agency APP said, ‘The ceremony highlighted the 4-decade career of General Li Qiaoming, which reflected his significant contribution to the Chinese army. His intelligence, administrative skills and dedication have earned him a reputation as a courageous and capable officer, who is vital in promoting peace and stability in China and beyond. General Li is renowned for his exceptional professionalism and skills in maintaining peace and stability in China. As a friend of Pakistan, he greatly strengthened Pak-China military relations with unwavering commitment.’

Qiaoming meets PM Shahbaz Sharif

The Pakistani news agency reported that earlier on Monday, Qiaoming met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and discussed various aspects of Pakistan-China friendship, especially bilateral defense and strategic partnership. Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan and China are evergreen strategic allies, partners and trusted friends. He highlighted that the deep ties between the two countries have broad public, political and institutional support in Pakistan, which ‘makes them indispensable for the progress and development of both countries.’
