New Delhi: After becoming the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time, Narendra Modi may visit New York next month to attend the United Nations Summit on the Future. Many world leaders are likely to attend the conference. Sources gave this information on Wednesday. The summit will be held on 22 and 23 September. Sources said that during the summit in New York, the Prime Minister will address an Indian community program in addition to talking to many world leaders. The Quad conference is also likely to be held during this time.
According to the United Nations, leaders of different countries will gather at the summit to create a new international consensus on how to “make a better present and secure the future.” It said, “Effective global cooperation is very important for our existence, but in an atmosphere of doubt, it is difficult to achieve it using old structures.” The Prime Minister may also attend the United Nations General Assembly. However, there has been no official announcement about Modi’s visit to New York yet.
Quad summit may also be held
There is speculation that the Quad summit may be held on the sidelines of the future UN summit in New York. This year it is India’s turn to host the Quad summit, a group of four countries. The Quad includes India, the US, Australia and Japan. India had planned to host the Quad summit in January, but it could not happen due to US President Joe Biden being unable to visit India.
