Adani Group rejected Hindenburg’s report, said – deliberate attempt to defame our reputation

Adani Group’s response has come on the latest allegations made by Hindenburg. Adani Group has termed this latest report of Hindenburg as misleading. Adani Group has put forth its point on these allegations made by Hindenburg. The company has said in its official statement, “These allegations made by Hindenburg are a malicious, mischievous and manipulative selection of publicly available information, which reaches predetermined conclusions to make personal profits in violation of facts and law.”

The group further said in the statement, “We completely reject these allegations against the Adani Group, which are recycling of defamatory claims, which have been thoroughly investigated, proven to be baseless and which have already been rejected by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in January 2024. We reiterate that our overseas holding structure is completely transparent, with all relevant information regularly disclosed in public documents. In addition, Anil Ahuja was a nominee director of 3i Investment Fund at Adani Power (2007-2008) and later, a director of Adani Enterprises until 2017.”

In an official statement on behalf of the group, an Adani Group spokesperson further said, “Adani Group has no commercial relationship with the persons or matters mentioned in the report in this deliberate attempt to malign our reputation. We are firmly committed to transparency and complying with all legal and regulatory requirements. For a disgraced short-seller who has been under investigation for multiple violations of Indian securities laws, Hindenburg’s allegations are nothing more than a lure thrown by a desperate entity that has a completely misguided view of Indian laws.”
