Gold Price Today: Gold prices rose, silver prices fell, know what are the latest prices

Gold Price Today on 15th July 2024: Despite the fall in gold prices in foreign markets, gold closed with a gain of Rs 50 at Rs 75,150 per 10 grams in the bullion market of the national capital on Monday due to fresh buying by jewelers in the local market. According to the All India Sarafa Association, gold had closed at Rs 75,100 per 10 grams on Saturday. The association said that gold prices remained firm amid a rise in domestic demand. However, its gains were somewhat curbed by a weak trend in global markets. Additionally, the price of silver fell by Rs 500 to Rs 94,000 per kg. In the previous session, silver closed at Rs 94,500 per kg.

Spot gold fell by $3.51 to trade at $2,407.92 an ounce in international markets. Manav Modi, Senior Analyst, Commodity Research at Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, said, “Gold prices witnessed huge volatility, but it managed to stay above $2,400, which was reached last week after the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) data.” He said, “Updated information about the US presidential election can increase volatility in the market, as well as geopolitical tensions may increase.” He said that apart from this, traders will focus on the speech of US Federal Reserve chief Jerome Powell on Monday. Silver also declined to $30.69 an ounce.

Future price of gold and silver

On the MCX exchange, on Monday evening, gold for delivery on August 5, 2024 was seen trading 0.23 per cent or Rs 171 higher at Rs 73,440 per 10 grams. At the same time, silver for delivery on September 5, 2024 was seen trading at Rs 93,034 per kg, down by 0.08 per cent or Rs 75.
