Jio Things and MediaTek introduced indigenous technology, will make electric two-wheelers smart

Semiconductor maker MediaTek and Jio Platforms subsidiary Jio Things have jointly introduced a country-made ‘Internet of Things’ (IOT) platform for the two-wheeler electric vehicle market. The statement said that this platform will provide ‘smart digital clusters’ and ‘smart modules’ specially designed for the two-wheeler market. Jio Platforms President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kiran Thomas said, “Jio Things is happy to collaborate with MediaTek to revolutionize the automotive industry. By integrating MediaTek’s chipset with our cutting-edge digital solutions, we will set new standards. Which will bring new changes in the field of vehicles by improving customer experience. ”

Jio Things’ ‘smart digital cluster’ and ‘operating system’ analyzes data in real time. It is suitable for better control over the vehicle. Jerry Yu, Senior Vice President (Corporate), MediaTek, said, “MediaTek’s collaboration with JioThings on the two-wheeler ‘Smart Digital Cluster’ further strengthens our commitment to innovation in both the Internet of Things and automotive sectors. This is in line with our vision for the future of ‘Cluster 2-Wheeler Smart Dashboard’.”

Big discount on Jio AirFiber connection

Reliance Jio will waive the installation fee of Rs 1,000 on AirFiber connection till August 15. Sources associated with the company said that this will give up to 30 percent discount on the entry-level plan. The company added more than 11 lakh new AirFiber connections across India in the June 2024 tax quarter. The source said, “Jio will waive the installation fee of Rs 1,000 on all plans from July 26 to August 15. For the entry-level plan, this will be a 30 percent discount on JioAirFiber plans.” He said customers opting for Jio AirFiber connection will have to pay for a minimum of three months. The company offers monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly plans based on download speed limits in different price ranges.
