Keeping in mind Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan, Central Railway (Central Railway) on Tuesday announced to run 18 special trains to meet the increasing demand of passengers during the upcoming long weekend. These special trains will connect major destinations between August 15 and 20, 2024. Central Railway has decided to run these special trains due to increasing demand during the long weekend. Its aim is to provide convenient travel options for passengers celebrating Independence Day and Rakhi.
Trains will run on these routes
According to the news, Central Railway has decided to run 2 trains between LTT Mumbai-Nagpur, 4 trains between LTT Mumbai-Madgaon, 2 trains between CSMT Mumbai-Kolhapur, 4 trains between Pune-Nagpur and 6 trains between Kalaburagi-Bengaluru. Running of these trains will facilitate the movement of thousands of passengers. Booking for these trains has also started. The train will stop at these stations
According to Central Railway, special trains will also stop at Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer (only for 01168), Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road (only for 01168), Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade (only for 01168), Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon (only for 01168), and Kankavali stations. The special train will have 2 AC-2 tier, 6 AC-3 tier, 8 sleeper class and 4 general second class coaches. Apart from this, 1 guard brake van and 1 generator car are included.
Kalaburagi-Bengaluru special train will also run
Central Railway has also announced to run Kalaburagi-Bengaluru special train. This train will also stop at Shahabad, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Anantapur, Dharmavaram and Yelahanka stations on this route. Booking of these trains is also open. This train has 1 AC-II tier, 1 AC-III tier, 10 sleeper class and 6 general second class including 1 guard brake van.
