Tata Consumer Products merged its three subsidiaries, know what will be the benefit

Tata Consumer Products Limited has completed the merger of its three wholly-owned subsidiaries after obtaining NCLT and other regulatory approvals. Tata Consumer Products is an FMCG company manufacturing household items of everyday use. According to a statement by the FMCG unit of the Tata Group, TCPL has merged its wholly-owned subsidiaries – Tata Consumer Soulful Private Limited, Nourishco Beverages Limited and Tata Smartfoods Limited into the company.

The company informed the stock market
The company said in a notice to the stock market, “We wish to inform you that the conditions mentioned under Section 17 of the Scheme, which includes filing certified copies of the order in Form INC-28 with the Registrar of Companies concerned, have been duly fulfilled. Accordingly, as per the scheme, the effective date of the scheme (of merger) is September 1, 2024.”This is in line with the company’s focus on simplifying and streamlining its business.

What will be the benefit?
The company said that this consolidation of the legal entity structure will promote efficiency and synergy. TCPL’s sections include tea, coffee, water, RTD, salt, pulses, spices, ready-to-cook and eat products, snacks etc. The company further said that there will be no change in the operational structure for these business units. These companies will continue to focus on the portfolio of millets products, ready to drink products and ready to cook / ready to eat products.
