US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti visited the Khavra Renewable Energy Project of Adani Group. This is the largest renewable energy project in the world. This is an indication that the group has moved beyond Hindenburg’s allegations and is getting full support. Garcetti wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ after visiting Khavra on July 16, “I was inspired after seeing the Khavra Renewable Energy Project in Gujarat. I learned about and saw Adani Green’s unique projects that advance India’s net zero carbon emission goals. Green energy is important for environmentally friendly development. Also, our bilateral partnership is important to shape the solution of a clean and green future for the region and the world. ”
Project 5 times bigger than Paris and as big as Mumbai City
Adani Green Energy Ltd. It is developing the world’s largest renewable energy project of 30,000 MW capacity on barren land at Khavda in Kutch, Gujarat. Built on 538 square kilometers, it is five times the size of Paris and almost as big as the city of Mumbai. The company has commissioned 2,000 MW capacity within 12 months of starting work. The entire project of 30,000 MW capacity is expected to be completed by 2030.

Goutam Adani, chairman of the group, posted a photo with Garcetti on ‘X’ and thanked him for the visit. He wrote, “I am grateful to the US Ambassador to India for visiting Adani’s 30 GW (one GW equals 1,000 MW) renewable energy project site in Khavda and Mundra port.” The US Ambassador’s visit to the Adani Group’s project site and the move to make it public is being seen as a sign of the US government’s trust in India’s largest infrastructure group.
The allegations were made by America’s own Hindenburg
Garcetti’s visit is important almost one and a half years after American investment and research company Hindenburg Research accused the Adani Group of fraud and manipulation in the shares of companies. Adani has rejected all the allegations of Hindenburg and called them completely baseless. The companies of the group have now come out of the losses caused by Hindenburg’s report.
