The story of this season is based on serial killer and rapist Kalicharan alias Akku Yadav.
Who was Akku Yadav?
Akku Yadav was a resident of Kasturba Nagar slum in Nagpur, Maharashtra. According to the story shown in the series, Akku Yadav was not just an extortionist or gangster but also a serial rapist. He was accused of raping more than 40 women. It is said that he raped so many women that a woman from every household of the slum was his victim. He continued to rape and molest the women of his slum area openly for years. He made women ranging from 10-year-old girls to grandmothers his victims.
Akku Yadav was also accused of murders
If someone tried to complain against him to the police, his life became miserable. Entering people’s houses and killing them, threatening them, extorting money were his petty crimes. The people of Kasturba Nagar had told in their statements that he had also killed three people and thrown their bodies on the railway track.
When a crowd of women entered the court room
Finally one day Akku Yadav was caught by the police and when he was presented in the court on 13 August 2004, a crowd of hundreds of veiled women entered the court room at around 3 pm and started throwing red chilli powder on the faces of the policemen and Akku Yadav. The policemen ran away in fear of the women and attacked Akku Yadav with knives. He was also attacked with stones. Someone in the crowd attacked his hands and legs and someone even cut off his genitals. Within 15 minutes, the white marble floor of the courtroom had turned red and there was blood all over the walls.
