Not Animal but this flop film changed Bobby Deol’s life, he himself revealed how he overcame difficulties and became a superhit villain

Bobby Deol, who created a stir with his villainous role in Ranbir Kapoor starrer superhit film Animal, has struggled hard to make a place at the box office. Bobby, who had a fluctuating career as a hero for about 20 years, also had a dark phase in his life. This was a time when both Bobby Deol’s career and life were going through difficulties. But the flop film ‘Poster Boys’ which came in the year 2017 taught Bobby Deol such lessons of life that the actor never forgot them again. Bobby Deol has recently revealed this in an interview given to ‘Humans of Bombay’.

The initial years were very difficult for Bobby Deol who entered Bollywood in the year 1995 through the film ‘Barsaat’. Bobby’s career was moving forward on the boat of hit flop films. Despite doing films continuously, Bobby Deol was not able to do anything special at the box office. Bobby Deol, who has worked in more than 53 films and series in his career so far, had a very bad phase in his life. In a recent interview, Bobby said, ‘I have also made many mistakes. But you cannot change those mistakes. There comes a time in everyone’s life when one loses faith in oneself. One also becomes underconfident. A similar phase came for me too. In the year 2017, during Poster Boys, I was very upset. But during such a period, my family members used to encourage me. I thought that my career was over. Nothing good is happening. But we should keep trying and things start changing automatically.’

From flop hero to superhit villain

Bobby started his career with the film ‘Barsaat’ which was a superhit. After this came ‘Gupt’ which was a hit with decent earnings. Then the 1998 film ‘Kaarib’ opened the flop account in Bobby’s career. After this, the films ‘Soldier’ ​​and ‘Badal’ did well at the box office. After this, the series of Bobby’s flop films started and stopped at about 23 films. Most of these films were either average or flop. After about 10 years, Bobby tasted superhit through the 2011 film ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’. By now Bobby had also got the tag of a flop hero. But the OTT series ‘Ashram’ made Bobby very popular as a villain. Then came the film Animal and Bobby became a superhit villain.
