Richa Chadha recently reminisced about the filming of the most challenging scene in Heeramandi, wherein she embodies the character of Lajjwanti in the grand series.

Richa Chadha graced The Great Indian Kapil Show alongside her Heeramandi co-stars, shedding light on the hurdles encountered during filming, as Sanjay Leela Bhansali meticulously pursues perfection. In the acclaimed series, Richa, essaying the role of Manisha Koirala’s foster daughter, disclosed the arduous dance sequence that demanded numerous retakes.

In a reminiscent tone, Richa unveiled the most demanding sequence from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi. She delved into her experience on the set, recounting it as both her ‘worst’ and ‘best’ day. Reflecting on the challenges of performing dance sequences on-screen, she remarked that it’s a task more intricate than commonly perceived.

During an interaction with Kapil, where actors were prompted to share their most memorable and challenging days from the shooting of Heeramandi, Richa shared, “My best day was paradoxically my worst day,” and further queried, “What is your record for the highest number of retakes?” Sonakshi disclosed, “I believe I didn’t surpass 12.” Aditi Rao Hydari chimed in, “In dance sequences, it could exceed 12-13.” To which Richa responded, “I believe my tally holds the record. 99!”
