The Bachchan family is in the news these days. Recently, the entire Bachchan family attended a function of the Ambani family, but while Abhishek appeared with his mother Jaya Bachchan, father Amitabh Bachchan and sister Shweta’s family, Aishwarya arrived with daughter Aaradhya and did not even pose with the Bachchan family. In such a situation, news of cracks in the relationship of Aishwarya-Abhishek started coming everywhere. So far, no reaction has been given by the Bachchan family on these news, but Abhishek definitely heated up the market of rumors by liking a divorce post. Abhishek-Aishwarya worked together in many films in their career, but today we will tell you about that super flop film of both of them, after which both of them never appeared together on the big screen again.
When Aishwarya-Abhishek’s film flopped at the box office
This Abhishek-Aishwarya film flopped at the box office in such a way that it could not even recover its cost. Aishwarya and Abhishek are considered to be among the best actors of the industry. Both of them worked together in many films, some of which were hits but some did not get much love from the public. After the success of ‘Guru’, Abhishek-Aishwarya worked together in ‘Raavan’, in which Abhishek was not a hero but a villain. This film, directed by famous filmmaker Mani Ratnam, was released in 2010. But it failed to impress the audience.
Abhishek Bachchan played the role of a Naxalite in the film
In the film, Abhishek played the role of Naxalite Beera Munda, who has a bad relationship with the police. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the role of ‘Ragini’. In the film made on the lines of Ramayana, Beera abducts SP Dev Pratap Sharma’s (Chiyaan Vikram) wife (Ragini) to take revenge for his sister’s death. After kidnapping Ragini, Beera takes her to the jungles and Ragini tries her best to escape from him, but every time she fails in her aim. But then Beera himself frees Ragini from his clutches.
‘Raavan’ was made on a budget of 55 crores
When Beera frees Ragini from his captivity, then only its real story begins. Mani Ratnam had left no stone unturned in making this film grand, but even after this the film could not cast a special spell on the audience. The film was adorned with great visuals and songs of AR Rahman, which were praised a lot. But even after this it was not successful in drawing the audience to the theatres. Mani Ratnam spent 55 crores in making the film, but it could only collect 50.84 crores worldwide. Along with Abhishek, Aishwarya, Chiyaan Vikram, Govinda was also in important roles in the film.
