What did Javed Akhtar say about Jab Tak Hai Jaan?
The veteran lyricist said- ‘There was a film by Yash Chopra sahab, Jab Tak Hai Jaan. There is a dialogue in it, in which the heroine says- ‘I will marry after sleeping with a boy from every nationality in the world!’ Arey bhai why will you work so hard? Are you empowered? Are you modern? Are you cool? Are you forward thinking? I agree na, you don’t need to work so hard. There are many nationalities in the world, don’t fall in their trap.’
Yash Chopra’s last film
He further said- ‘Now what is this? What does this dialogue mean? Where are you coming? In Yash Chopra’s film! Because they want to show that the girl is self-reliant.
They don’t know what a strong girl is, that’s why they are exaggerating.’ Let us tell you, the romantic-drama ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ released in October 2012 was directed by Yash Chopra and made under the banner of Yash Raj Films and was one of the most successful films of the year. Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma appeared in lead roles in it. This was Yash Chopra’s last film.
