Why does Sanjay Dutt like playing a villain
At an event hosted for the film ‘Double Eyesmart’ in Mumbai, actor Sanjay Dutt told why he likes to play the villain in the South film industry. When asked what is it that inspires him to play such a negative role, Sanjay said, ‘I think doing a South film is a challenge for me and I like playing such characters. Here, there is a lot to do as a villain.’

Sanjay Dutt further said laughingly, ‘In the South, the villain also gets a chance to beat up the hero a lot, gets to get beaten up.’ When he was asked if he would like to work in a love story again, Sanjay replied, ‘Yes, if I get the right film, I would like to do romance, but our generation is now giving new romance content to the audience. We are big heroes. I had once done ‘Saajan’ (1991) which was really a great love story, which had very lovely songs. So yes, I would definitely like to do such a film.’

Sanjay Dutt, who is playing the role of Big Bull in ‘Double iSmart’, is in the news for his look which will be released on August 15 in all South languages and Hindi. In 2022, the actor played the role of Adheera in Prashanth Neel’s Kannada film ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ opposite Yash. He also starred in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 2023 film ‘Leo’. He will soon be seen in Prem’s Kannada film ‘KD – The Devil’ opposite Dhruva Sarja.
