It has been 1 month since Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married. The couple got married on 23rd June in the presence of only their family and close ones and after this invited their friends and well-known stars of the industry to the grand reception. There was a lot of uproar regarding the marriage of Sonakshi and Zaheer. Shatrughan Sinha and Sonakshi Sinha were trolled a lot regarding this marriage, the reason for which was that Sonakshi and Zaheer belong to different religions. Sonakshi registered marriage with Zaheer on 23rd June in the presence of her family and close friends with great simplicity. Shatrughan Sinha was also present in this marriage with his wife Poonam Sinha. Now the newlywed couple has made many revelations about their marriage.
When Zaheer went to ask for Sonakshi’s hand from Shatrughan Sinha
In a conversation with Galetta India, Sonakshi-Zaheer shared many stories of their marriage. One of these stories is also related to Zaheer and his father-in-law, veteran actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha. During the interview, Zaheer also remembered the moment when he went to his father-in-law Shatrughan Sinha to ask for his daughter Sonakshi’s hand. During this time, Zaheer was very scared, but he wanted Sonakshi’s company for life. In such a situation, he somehow gathered courage and reached Shatrughan Sinha.
Zaheer was scared while talking to his future father-in-law
Recalling this entire incident, Zaheer says- ‘I had to take his (Shatrughan Sinha’s) permission before marrying Sonakshi and I was very scared then. I remember, when I was talking to him about this, I was very scared and trembling. I thought that who knows he might say to me too – keep quiet. But, that did not happen, he was very sweet. I said to him in a stuttering tongue – Uncle, Sona must have told you that we… to this he said – yes, she did tell you.’
What happened next between father-in-law and son-in-law?
‘Then I said – Uncle, I was thinking that, not just a little, I should propose you completely. So, in response, he said – ok, very good. I further told him – Uncle, if you want to ask anything about me, then please ask. After this, we had a good conversation for about 1 hour. He was very sweet during this time. However, when I entered his room, I was very scared. I thought what will I do if he says no? By mistake, I told him that I have already bought the ring, so that he feels that he should not say no to this relationship.’
