Due to increasing obesity, our body starts falling prey to serious diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart attack. In such a situation, it is important to lose weight in time. To lose weight, along with diet and exercise, you must also try these Ayurvedic remedies. There are many things in Ayurveda which are considered very powerful in reducing weight. The special thing is that these things are found in almost everyone’s house. There are 4 such things in Ayurveda which are known as fat burning. Honey: Honey is known as a fat burner in Ayurveda. It is sweet in taste, hot and dry in nature, light to digest and reduces phlegm. To lose weight, consume 1 teaspoon of it daily in the morning with lukewarm water and lemon.
Barley: Barley is known for its scarring action (lekana) and hence it is advisable to eat barley roti or bhakri to get rid of obesity. Consuming barley not only reduces obesity but also controls diabetes and bad cholesterol. Its consumption provides nutrition to the body and improves digestion, memory, and physical strength. You can also consume barley sattu to lose weight.
Turmeric: Turmeric, hot in nature, detoxifies the body. Along with detoxifying, it also improves immunity. Its consumption reduces phlegm and cold and also helps in controlling diabetes. To reduce obesity, use a pinch of turmeric with half a teaspoon of honey and amla on an empty stomach.
Amla: It balances all the three doshas (vata, pitta and kapha) and soothes and rejuvenates the body. Its consumption is very good for diabetes, hair fall and acidity. Take amla with 1 teaspoon honey on an empty stomach or 1 hour after meals.
