Recently, a study report conducted at AIIMS, Delhi has revealed that rheumatoid arthritis can be controlled to a great extent with yoga.

Yoga and Pranayama prove to be effective in controlling rheumatoid arthritis. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has done research on this, in which it has been found that the risk of rheumatoid arthritis can be reduced significantly by doing Pranayama and yoga. Doing yoga regularly helps in reducing inflammation in the body and also reduces oxidative stress in the body. Changes in genes can also be cured with yoga. Doing yoga increases the body’s immunological tolerance, which can control diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.

Yoga will reduce the risk of arthritis

Dr. Reema Dada, Professor of Anatomy Department at AIIMS, New Delhi, says that rheumatoid arthritis causes a lot of joint pain. Rheumatoid arthritis can also affect the heart, lungs and skin. If not treated on time, this disease can spread throughout the body. In such a situation, the patient’s condition can worsen. Rheumatoid arthritis causes swelling in the feet and other parts of the body. This problem increases even more when there is stress. However, it can be controlled by yoga. The doctor says that research conducted at AIIMS New Delhi has revealed that regular practice of yoga and pranayama can reduce the risk of arthritis.
