An element called ‘piperine’ is found in black pepper which controls the balance. Grind black pepper and add 1 teaspoon turmeric to it and take it on an empty stomach or 1 hour before eating at night.

Cinnamon: It reduces insulin resistance and helps in reducing blood sugar levels after meals. Cinnamon reduces extra fat and controls bad cholesterol. Mix 1 teaspoon cinnamon with half a teaspoon turmeric and half a teaspoon fenugreek powder and take it on an empty stomach. A small piece of cinnamon can be added to herbal tea.

Fenugreek: Fenugreek is considered one of the best spices for diabetes, obesity and cholesterol due to its bitter taste and pungency. It reduces blood sugar during fasting, improves glucose tolerance. Overall, this spice also reduces cholesterol, LDL and triglycerides. Take 1 teaspoon powder with warm water on an empty stomach or at bedtime. Soak 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds overnight, consume it with water on an empty stomach the next morning.
