Oats Idli Recipe:
Step 1- Take half a cup of oats and mix half a cup of gram flour or semolina in it. Now prepare the batter with the help of water and curd. Leave the batter to set for 15 minutes.
Step 2- Although oats are healthy in themselves, but it can be made even more healthy and tasty with the help of some vegetables. Mix carrots, capsicum, beans, green chillies, ginger and any other vegetable in the idli.
Step 3- Now add salt to it as per taste and if the batter seems thick, then add water little by little. You do not have to make a very thick batter. Now apply some ghee in the idli maker and grease it.
Step 4- Pour 1-2 spoons of the batter in an idli mould and fill all the moulds in the same way and keep the idlis for cooking. Oats idli gets ready in the same time that you give to cook rice idli.
Step 5- Check with the help of a knife whether the idli is cooked well or not. Insert the knife into the idli and if the knife comes out completely clean, then understand that the idli is ready. Serve them with your favorite chutney.
Step 6- If you want, you can also add some tadka on the oats idli. Pour the same tadka which contains mustard seeds, curry leaves and whole red chillies on the idli. This will make the idli even more delicious.
