Baal Gopal Kanha was very fond of eating and drinking. Kanha never gets satisfied with milk, curd and butter. That is why in childhood, mother Yashoda beat up butter thief Kanha many times. Kanha used to feel restless on seeing the pot of butter. In such a situation, on the day of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, offer butter and sugar candy to Kanha and feed him Panchamrit Prasad. Panchamrit can be easily prepared at home with curd and some things. You can make Panchamrit Prasad quickly with this recipe.

How to make Panchamrit, this is the recipe:

Step 1- Panchamrit is prepared from curd. You can use fresh homemade curd or market curd for this. Blend the curd lightly with a churner. You can also dilute it by adding some water to it.

Step 2- Now finely chop all the dry fruits for Panchamrit. You can add any dry fruits of your choice. By the way, the taste of chironji and roasted makhana is very good in Panchamrit. Do add both these things.

Step 3- Now grind sugar and mix it in Panchamrit. You can also add powdered sugar if you want. You have to add so much sugar that the curd becomes sweet. Now it is time to add five nectars to it.

Step 4- Panchamrit is prepared from five nectars which include curd, milk, honey, Gangajal and ghee. Mix these things little by little in curd. Now add basil leaves to it and add chopped dry fruits.

Step 5- To enhance the taste, mix half a teaspoon of cardamom powder in Panchamrit. This will give a very good aroma. Now when you offer Panchamrit or serve it to someone, add roasted makhana to it and serve.

Step 6- You can also add chopped ripe bananas to Panchamrit. You can eat this Panchamrit as is or mix it with Panjiri. Panchamrit and Panjiri are included in Kanha’s offering. You can also offer only Panchamrit as Prasad.
