After the Rajendra Nagar incident in Delhi, state and district administrations across the country have become alert. It is reported that the district administration in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh has taken a tough decision, the administration has sealed 13 coaching institutes running in the basement on Tuesday due to alleged lack of security arrangements. An administration official said that after the death of three UPSC exam candidates due to waterlogging in the basement of a coaching center after heavy rains in Delhi, an investigation of coaching institutes in Indore has been started.
13 institutes sealed
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ghanshyam Dhangar said in this matter, “We have sealed 13 such coaching institutes of the city which were running in the basement keeping in view the safety of the students. These sealed institutes include coaching and library.” He said that most of the sealed coaching institutes had only one way to come and go and fire safety equipment was also not installed there. Dhangar further said, “Out of these, 4 institutes were such whose walls and ceilings were made of plywood. Which is very dangerous for the safety of the students.”
The report will be submitted to the district administration soon
He further said that the report will be submitted to the district administration with the recommendation of strict action against the operators of coaching institutes running without proper safety arrangements. At the same time, while sealing a library in the city, civil service aspirant Shubham said, “Why did the government wake up only after the death of 3 candidates in the Delhi incident? This attitude shows the negligence of the government. Officials should regularly inspect coaching institutes.”
