CM Bhagwant Mann said on Thursday that all the vacant posts of Punjabi teachers in government schools will be filled on priority basis so that the Punjabi language can be further promoted. Addressing a gathering during the state-level function organized on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the Chief Minister said that this is the time to further promote the Punjabi language.

He further said that the state government is committed to promote the mother tongue of every Punjabi and no stone will be left unturned for this. Mann also motivated the students to speak and write the Punjabi language so that they remain familiar with their heritage. The Chief Minister said that studies are being affected due to a large number of vacancies in the education department. For the first time in the history of the state, a mega parent-teacher meeting was organized in government schools across the state.

Mann further said that the teachers are present to solve all the problems of the society. As a son of a teacher, he knows the problems of the teachers very well and it is his duty to solve them. The treasury of the state belongs to the people and every penny of it will be used for the welfare of every section of the society.
