Asteroids hurtling towards earth: Our Earth has to face troubles coming from space every moment. Asteroids are also one such trouble. Whenever they come close to Earth, the concern of scientists increases. It is believed that millions of years ago, dinosaurs were wiped out from this planet due to the destruction caused by an asteroid collision. Space agencies and telescopes around the world keep an eye on asteroids. The US space agency NASA has given information about two asteroids, which will be closest to our planet today. The height of one of these is even higher than the Taj Mahal.

It is estimated that when (2024 LY2) comes close to the Earth, the distance between the two will be 45 lakh 87 thousand 454 kilometers. NASA has considered this asteroid potentially dangerous for the Earth. The US Space Agency says that it is closely watching the path of this asteroid.

(2024 LY2) is a little smaller, yet its size is as much as an airplane. It can pass at a distance of 50 lakh 38 thousand 865 kilometers. According to the US space agency, both the asteroids are unlikely to collide with the Earth, but they will be monitored until they move far away from the Earth. According to a report, till July 18, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has detected 13 lakh 85 thousand 226 asteroids.
