CBSE issued notice against 27 schools of two states, were violating these rules

CBSE has today issued notice against 27 schools of Delhi and Rajasthan. These schools were violating the affiliation norms of the board. Recently the board teams had conducted surprise inspections of these schools. CBSE Secretary said that show cause notices have been issued to 27 schools for ‘dummy enrollment’ of students violating affiliation norms.

Recently the board had conducted inspection
The board is also considering legal action against those found guilty of non-compliance in the case of ‘dummy schools’. This step was taken by CBSE after conducting surprise inspections of these schools to investigate the problem of “dummy schools”.

CBSE Secretary gave information
CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta said, “Most of the schools inspected were found to be violating the board’s affiliation rules by enrolling more students than the actual attendance records of the students, effectively leading to ‘dummy’ enrollment. Apart from this, the schools were found to be violating the board’s infrastructure norms.”

He said, “CBSE has taken cognizance of these serious violations and show cause notices are being issued to the guilty schools. Legal action is also being considered against the schools found guilty.”

Most of these students take dummy admission
It has been observed that many students preparing for engineering and medical entrance examinations take admission in dummy schools, so that they can fully focus on preparing for competitive examinations and also pass the board. These students do not attend classes and directly appear in the board examination. Keeping in mind the quota in medical and engineering institutes available for students of some states, candidates also choose dummy schools. Earlier this year, CBSE had cancelled the affiliation of 20 schools for admitting fake students and ineligible candidates.
