New Delhi: Something special is going to happen in the sky this month for people interested in astronomy. Saturn’s lunar eclipse is going to be seen this week. This will happen after 18 years in India, when it can be seen. Scientists say that it can be seen with naked eyes for a few hours in the midnight of 24 and 25 July. Scientists have called this astronomical event as Lunar Occultation of Saturn. Saturn’s lunar eclipse occurs when the moon hides Saturn in its cover. Due to Saturn hiding behind the moon, the edges of the moon are visible in Saturn’s ring. Astronomers and astronauts around the world are waiting for this event for research.
According to the information, it will start from 1.30 pm on the night of 24 July and will increase gradually. In the next 15 minutes, i.e. by 1:45 pm, the moon will completely cover Saturn and hide it behind it. 45 minutes later, i.e. at 2:25 pm, Saturn will start appearing emerging from behind the moon.
Saturn lunar eclipse will also occur in India’s neighboring countries
Apart from India, Saturn lunar eclipse will also occur in neighboring countries Sri Lanka, Myanmar and China. The time to see it in these countries will be different from India. The reason for Saturn’s lunar eclipse i.e. Lunar Occultation of Saturn is that when both the planets moving at their own speed change their path, then Saturn appears to rise from behind the moon. In this, Saturn’s rings are seen first.
Experts say that this same scene will be seen in the sky once again in October this year. After three months, on the night of October 14, Saturn’s lunar eclipse will once again be clearly visible in the sky. Common people will be able to see this event in the sky with naked eyes.
