Despite bad circumstances, he dreamed of becoming an IAS and continued preparing for the exam. Finally he tasted success and became an IAS officer. His financial background was not good as his father was a factory worker. Jayganesh had to face difficulties during his UPSC journey, but he never gave up.

Jayganesh, a resident of Tamil Nadu, completed his studies in the village itself. After this, he got admission in a polytechnic college. Then he studied mechanical engineering at Thanthi Periyar Institute of Technology. According to him, completing these two degrees was not enough to get a good job. The eldest son of the family among four siblings also had the responsibilities of the family. After three unsuccessful attempts, Jayganesh took admission in a government institute in Chennai and prepared for UPSC.

Also worked as a waiter
Jayganesh’s expenses also increased due to staying away from home, so he found work in a cinema hall. Not only this, he also worked as a waiter. Doing a job also hindered his preparation and he again faced failure.

Cracked UPSC in 7th attempt
K Jayganesh passed UPSC exam in 2008 with All India Rank 156 and became an IAS, but before that he had failed six times. He cleared UPSC in his last and 7th attempt. K Jayganesh never lost hope despite continuous failures in 6 attempts of Civil Services Examination. In his last attempt, he threw himself with full determination and dedication, removing all the previous shortcomings.

Finally his hard work paid off. According to the information, during the preparation of his last attempt, K Jayganesh was also selected for the Intelligence Bureau. At that time it was difficult for him to decide whether to give UPSC exam again or take advantage of the opportunity and join IB, but he gave UPSC exam and passed it in 2008.
