School teachers’ holidays have been extended again in Bihar. Teachers will now get holidays on Teej, Jitiya, Rakshabandhan. Actually, former Principal Secretary of Education Department KK Pathak had cut the holidays of teachers, which was opposed by the teachers a lot. New Principal Secretary of Education Department K. Siddharth had constituted a committee in this regard, which has submitted its report to the department. Now the Education Department has prepared a new list of holidays, accepting the demand of teachers.
Now two days holiday has been given in the schools of Bihar on the occasion of Teej. Five new holidays have been announced including Guru Nanak Jayanti. Teachers will now get leave in schools on Raksha Bandhan and Anant Chaturdashi. Schools will also remain closed on Jitiya. Apart from this, schools will also remain closed in Bihar on the day of Guru Nanak Jayanti.
Let us tell you that in June this year itself, in place of KK Pathak, CM’s Principal Secretary Dr. S Siddharth was given the additional command of the post of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Education Department. After this, now S Siddharth has overturned the decision of KK Pathak regarding the leave of teachers and has extended the leave of school teachers.
