Questions have always been raised about the level of education in government schools of Madhya Pradesh. Although the government has been making claims of improving the education system of MP, but the truth is that the government has not been able to overcome the shortage of teachers in government schools of MP, so how can it improve the level of education? The School Education Department runs a campaign to take children to school with slogans like ‘School Chalo Hum’, but most of the districts in the state are such where there is only one teacher in many schools who is responsible for teaching from 1st to 5th class.

What is the condition of schools?

Madhya Pradesh to merge govt schools to improve quality of education

To know the condition of government schools running in rural areas, India TV’s team reached Daulatpur Thikariya village, 25 km from Bhopal. Here we met Gulab Singh Meena who was teaching the children. On asking, he told that 2 teachers are allotted to the school. Other teachers do not come to school due to their B.Ed studies, so the responsibility of teaching children from first to fifth class is on them. According to Gulab Singh, it is not possible for a single teacher to teach so many classes at once and also complete the course. The real problem arises when they have to take leave suddenly, in such a situation the school remains without a teacher and the studies of the students are affected on that day.

Now just know the condition of Ratibad village of Bhopal district. Here also a single teacher was seen doing the difficult task of teaching 19 children from first to fifth class, in a conversation with India TV she said that it is not possible to complete the course of all the children at once, if we take leave then it will be a problem, children also do not come to study here.

Education officials also admit the shortage of teachers
The situation of the school of Jhanjharpur in Rajgarh district is also similar, in the middle school here one teacher is teaching children of sixth, seventh and eighth class. He said that two guest teachers are posted here but they do not come to teach, so we have to teach alone. On this matter, Rajgarh Education Officer Karan Singh Bhilala said that there is not a single teacher in 26 schools in Rajgarh district, while there are 244 such schools in which children are being taught by a single teacher.

What are the figures saying?

By now you have come to know the education model of Madhya Pradesh, now let’s take a look at the figures. According to the portal of the Education Department, there are single teacher schools in 47 districts of Madhya Pradesh. The number of such schools in the entire state is 6,858. Shivpuri district has the highest number of 420 single teacher schools. At the same time, the number of single teacher schools in Satna and Rewa districts is also more than 400. While the surprising thing is that there are 1,275 schools in 46 districts of the state where there is not a single teacher. There is a shortage of 79000 teachers in the state.

Upendra Kaushal of Madhya Pradesh Government Teachers’ Organization says that there is a shortage of 70 to 80 thousand teachers in the state due to which programs like School Chalo Abhiyan are failing. A teacher is neither able to teach children from 1st to 5th class nor can give them good education.”

Education Minister is denying

When we talked to School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh about this, that there is only one teacher in many schools, due to which the school closes when he takes leave, the minister said I do not agree with you. He further said that we are trying to give the best possible education to the children. On the shortage of 80000 teachers, he said that we are working keeping in mind the number of children and availability of teachers, we will also recruit teachers soon.

Congress surrounded

Meanwhile, in this whole matter, Congress media in-charge Mukesh Nayak surrounded the Mohan government and said that in the state where the government of the same party has been in power for the last 20 years and it is still not able to fulfill the shortage of teachers, then it is obvious that they have no thinking about education and this is the reason that the teacher class in the state They are badly harassed.

Let us tell you that the government in Madhya Pradesh is soon going to recruit guest teachers on 70 thousand posts, which means that the government knows that there is a shortage of teachers in the state. Now the question is, what is the compulsion that the government is avoiding recruitment on the posts of teachers?
