NIRF 2024 Rankings: NIRF Ranking 2024 has been released by the Education Ministry today i.e. on 12th August. The complete ranking list has been released on the official website. In this, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has topped the medical category.
This year also AIIMS New Delhi has retained its top position. While Chandigarh’s Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) is in second place. You can see the names of the top 5 medical institutes in the list below.

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh
Christian Medical College, Vellore
National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bengaluru
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry
Let us tell you that the top three positions of the institutes in the year 2023 were the same as the 2022 NIRF rankings. AIIMS Delhi was at the top position, PGIMER, Chandigarh secured the second position in the ranking and Christian Medical College, Vellore was ranked third.
Let us inform you that the ranking has been prepared on five parameters which include teaching learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduate outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception. Higher educational institutions have been listed in 13 categories which include overall, university, medicine, engineering, management, law, architecture, college, research institute, pharmacy, dentistry, agriculture and permitted areas, and innovation. This year, the number of participating institutes has also increased. Let us tell you that this year a total of 10,885 institutions had applied for NIRF Ranking 2024.
