A big statement of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has come to the fore. CM Bhagwant Mann said that his government will soon recruit 10,000 more policemen to strengthen the police force. He also said that about 3,000 artificial intelligence (AI) based cameras will be installed on the borders to monitor drug and arms smuggling.
According to a government statement, Mann was addressing the gathering during a ceremony organized to distribute appointment letters to 443 officers in the Police, Law and Justice and Home Affairs departments.
AI cameras will be installed on the border
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, “For the first time, about 3,000 AI-based cameras will be installed on the borders to track the smuggling of drugs, weapons and other things across the border.” He said, “The state government will soon recruit 10,000 more policemen in the Punjab Police, for which the notification has already been issued.”
‘Recruitment process is going on for 1746 constable posts’
Let us tell you that the recruitment process is going on for constable posts in Punjab Police. 1746 constable posts are to be filled through this recruitment campaign. In this, the police department has set 970 posts for the district police cadre in Punjab and 776 posts for the armed police cadre. The selection process in this recruitment has been divided into three phases, that is, it will have three phases. In this, the first i.e. Stage 1 will include computer based and multiple choice question (MCQ) type papers. Paper-I and Paper-II, out of which Paper-II will be of qualifying nature. Phase 2 will have physical measurement test (PMT) and physical screening test. At the same time, Phase 3 will include (document verification).
