Students of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University will now be able to take degrees of two different courses from two different universities simultaneously. Understand it like this that students will be able to do any undergraduate / postgraduate course from the open university and any other UG / PG course from another university. This decision was taken by the Open University in compliance with the National Education Policy 2020.
According to the information, with this facility, one course can be done from distance i.e. open and the other can be done regularly. Let us tell you that UGC had issued a guideline a few years ago, in which it was said that dual courses can also be done, that is, two valid courses can be done simultaneously. It was also said in this that students can complete the study of any two academic courses simultaneously except PhD. Implementing this, now Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University has given this facility.
Admission will be done at so many study centers
According to media reports, 1300 study centers are operated from all the centers of Uttar Pradesh (Prayagraj, Lucknow, Bareilly, Agra, Meerut, Kanpur, Jhansi, Noida, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya) including the main campus of the Open University.
Let us tell you that in the guidelines, UGC had asked all the state governments and universities to make their own rules and policies to implement the new system. It was also said that if the institutes want, they will be able to implement it from the session 2022-23 itself.
