The wait for BSNL 4G service is over. The government telecom company is engaged in upgrading mobile towers to provide superfast connectivity across the country. BSNL has installed 4G towers on more than 15 thousand mobile sites in the country. The company is soon going to launch 4G service simultaneously across the country. Not only this, BSNL has also started testing 5G to compete with private companies. The company is providing 5G ready SIM cards to the users.
More than 15 thousand 4G sites went live
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has confirmed through its official social media handle that the work of more than 15 thousand 4G mobile sites has been completed. The company has said in its post that more than 15 thousand 4G sites have been prepared under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Initiative, which will provide seamless connectivity across India. The special thing about Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s 4G service is that it uses completely indigenous technology. Equipment made in India has been installed in these mobile towers.
5G testing started
Along with launching 4G service, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has also started testing 5G. Recently, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia made a video call using BSNL’s 5G network based on indigenous technology. After the release of this video, crores of users of the country are waiting for BSNL’s 5G service.
The government telecom company has started giving 5G ready SIM cards to new users. In such a situation, it is also being speculated that the 5G service of the government telecom company can also be started in the coming few months. BSNL’s 5G service is currently being tested at the C-DoT campus. It will be tested in many cities of the country in the coming few weeks.
The central government has allotted more than 83 thousand crore rupees in this year’s budget to revive BSNL. This budget will be used to upgrade BSNL’s network and improve its service quality.
