Apart from this, Google also develops operating systems for smartwatches, smart TVs, tablets etc. Google does not charge users for using the ecosystem of mobile, tablet and smart TV. Despite this, the company earns billions of rupees.

The main source of Google’s income is advertising. The tech company earns this by showing advertisements to users in its ecosystem. You must have also noticed that whenever you search anything on Google on your smartphone, tablet or other device, some advertisements will appear on top. Google charges a hefty amount from companies for these advertisements.

Apart from this, the company also earns through Google services such as YouTube, Google Play Store, Google Maps etc. Before opening any video on YouTube, you must have seen advertisements. You cannot even skip many of these ads. Google also earns through these advertisements.

Google also earns by providing its navigation service to app aggregators. For this, the company has partnered with travel app aggregators around the world. In return for using navigation (Google Maps), the company charges service charges from the aggregators, which is up to 30 percent of their earnings.

Google also earns through subscription of its cloud services such as Google Drive. Google charges subscription charges from users for business and professional as well as personal cloud storage. The company earns huge amount through this also.

Google also charges service charges from companies making apps for its Android operating system. Google charges these companies for platform charges for placement of the app and for other services.

Apart from this, Google also has many such services for which the company charges the end user. In this way, Google earns billions.
