New York Police Patrol Chief John Chell said that a gunman targeted a specific group of people and opened fire on the parade route in Brooklyn at around 2.35 pm. 5 people were shot in this incident. According to the information, the parade had started several hours ago. Thousands of people were enjoying it and thousands of people were dancing and marching on the city’s main road Eastern Parkway. It was expected that this program would continue like this till night.

Patrol Chief Chell said that two people were seriously injured in this firing. He said that three other injured are being treated in the hospital, where there is a possibility of their survival. It was a deliberate act by a person towards a group of people.” He said that we had information that there was no active shooter around Eastern Parkway till the incident.
Police asked for videos from people
He said that when the firing took place, a videographer of the Associated Press, who was nearby, saw that at least two people were being treated, who had injuries on their hands and face. The New York Police Department said that the police cordoned off an area adjacent to the parade route, where they had marked the crime scene. The parade continued and officers were seen packing the goods in bags. Chell said that the people present there have been asked to provide any video footage recorded during the shooting to the police. Chell said that we need that video.
