Washington: Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama have supported Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s candidate for the presidency. He said that she will prove to be a great President of America. Barack Obama told Harris, “We will do everything possible to make you win the election to be held in November.” In this way, Vice President Harris has received the important support of the country’s two most popular Democrats. Obama endorsed Harris (59) a few days after President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential candidacy race. This will strengthen his challenge against Republican rival Donald Trump.
Obama did not immediately endorse Harris after President Biden announced on Sunday that he would not contest the election. Obama released a video to support the Vice President. Obama said in a post on ‘X’, “Earlier this week Michelle and I called our friend Kamala Harris. We told her that we think she will be a great President of America. At this critical time for our country, we will do everything possible to ensure her victory in the November elections. We hope you will join us. Former President Barack Obama (62) told Harris over the phone, “Michelle and I are very proud to support you and we will do everything possible to make you win this election and reach the ‘Oval Office’ (President’s Office).” Michelle said – I am proud of Kamala Harris Michelle Obama said, “I am proud of you (Kamala Harris). This will be historic.” Harris expressed gratitude for the support and their friendship. She said, “Thank you both. This means a lot to me. We will do something better with this.” In a joint statement announcing the support, the Obama couple praised Harris. Harris has the ability to win this election and work for the American people.” President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he would not contest the upcoming presidential election.
