International Moon Day: On this day, Buzz Aldrin along with Neil Armstrong took their first steps on the moon

Washington: Today, July 20 is being celebrated as International Moon Day all over the world. Actually, this day is celebrated in memory of the first steps of mankind on the moon. American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first set foot on the moon on 20 July 1969. These people were sent there under the US Space Agency Apollo 11 Lunar Mission.

The announcement to celebrate this day was made in the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly held on 9 December 2021. This day is celebrated every year on 20 July.
