Portland: A major accident has taken place in Portland, America. A small plane collided with several houses in the eastern part of Portland on Saturday morning. At the same time, many houses also caught fire due to the collision of the plane. Three people have died in this accident. Giving information, officials said that there were two people on board the plane and at least one resident is missing. A video has also surfaced after the incident, in which the house is seen on fire, while black smoke is seen coming out of the surrounding houses.
Four houses caught fire
Gresham Fire Department Chief Scott Lewis said that the fire spread to at least four houses, due to which six families were displaced. He said that two people were treated at the scene, but he did not say how these people were injured and how serious their injuries are. The Federal Aviation Administration has identified the plane as a twin-engine ‘Cessna 421C’. He said the plane crashed around 10:30 a.m. near Troutdale Airport, about 30 minutes east of Portland.
The plane broke into several pieces
According to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, the plane broke down a pole and power lines, causing a fire in a nearby field. The plane broke into several pieces after hitting houses in the residential area of the city of Fairview. About 10,000 people live in this area. Lewis said the first phone call about the fire was made by the employees of the Troutdale Airport ‘control tower’, who saw a thick cloud of smoke rising, but initial reports suggest that “no emergency call was received” before the plane crashed. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the accident.
